We have all been there—trapped in a cycle of constant notifications, endless scrolling, and digital overstimulation. Modern life often tries to convince us that being constantly busy equals being fulfilled.
At Sourtake, we believe it is time to gently cut the cord, step away from the screens, and reclaim your focus.
We did not start this journey just to create another drawing book. We started it to offer a genuine mental detoxification. After looking at an industry crowded with frantic patterns, microscopic details, and paper too thin to support real creativity, we chose to design an alternative: a peaceful sanctuary for adults who remain kids at heart, busy students, and mindful individuals who simply want to unplug and unwind.
The Spark – A Note from Our Founder
“It started with a realization that the peace found in coloring was being lost to algorithms. I saw thousands of books being generated in seconds—perfectly symmetrical, but completely soulless. They lacked the tiny, intentional choices that make art feel like a conversation. I missed the way a hand-drawn line has a beginning, a middle, and a genuine pulse.
I founded Sourtake to reclaim that pulse. Every adult cozy coloring book in our collection starts as a raw sketch in a physical notebook. We do not use artificial intelligence to ideate or generate our art. We rely entirely on human hands to create, because we believe you can truly feel the difference.”
